Notice Regarding the Implementation of Certification Upgrade under FSSC 22000 V7.0
I. Key Changes in the FSSC 22000 V7.0 Standard

The main changes in FSSC 22000 V7.0 are as follows:
1. The ISO 22002-X:2025 series serves as the new set of normative documents, replacing the ISO/TS 22002-X series and PAS 221.
2. Add Table 1.1, which shall contain a subcategory classification; these subcategories apply to the professional competencies of auditors but do not apply to certificates, licenses, or accreditations.
3. Specific GFSI requirements (BMR 2024) have been added to AR 2.5.1, 2.5.3, 2.5.4, and 2.5.8.
4. Adjust the T-FSSC calculation requirements and the minimum basic audit duration requirement for FSSC 22000.
5. Adds functionality to share and access information related to Global ACI's certification and audit processes, including obtaining information pertaining to (certified) organizations, audits, and certification processes within the FSSC Assurance Platform.
II. Schedule
(1) First-time certified customers
1. Complete the first and second stages of the initial certification audit before April 30,2027, in accordance with the FSSC 22000 V6.0 scheme;
2. The first phase of initial certification shall be completed by April 30,2027, through an audit conducted in accordance with the FSSC 22000 V6.0 scheme; the second phase of certification shall be completed after May 1, 2027, through an audit conducted in accordance with the FSSC 22000 V7.0 scheme;
3. Starting from May 1, 2027, all customers shall undergo FSSC 22000 V7.0 scheme audits.
(2) Customers who have already obtained the FSSC 22000 V6.0 certification certificate
1. Prior to April 30,2027, conduct surveillance and re-certification audits in accordance with the FSSC 22000 V6.0 scheme;
2. From May 1, 2027, to April 30,2028, a certification upgrade audit shall be conducted in accordance with the FSSC 22000 V7.0 scheme, integrating supervision activities and re-certification audits;
3. Starting from May 1, 2027, all customers shall undergo surveillance and re-certification audits in accordance with the FSSC 22000 V7.0 scheme.
III. Work Schedule
(1) Certification Upgrade Process for Certified Customers
Certified clients proceed through the following steps: obtaining certification standards -> identifying system modification requirements -> implementing training -> revising documents and refining the system -> implementing the system -> conducting a self-assessment -> applying for certification upgrade (BCK applies for review) -> BCK plans and implements the audit plan -> BCK implements the certification process and issues (or reissues) the certificate -> implementing improvements.
(2) Certification Upgrade Method:
1. Existing certified customers of BCK may undergo a certification upgrade audit by combining supervision with re-certification;
2. Under normal circumstances, the certification upgrade audit under the FSSC 22000 V7.0 scheme is a notification-based audit; however, in special cases, a certification upgrade may be conducted without prior notification to meet the requirement for an unnotified audit within a 3-year cycle.
(3) Certification Upgrade Preparation:
Certified customers applying for certification upgrade shall complete the following tasks:
1. Conduct training on the FSSC 22000 V7.0 scheme and training for internal auditor transition;
2. Identify that the requirements of the FSSC 22000 V7.0 scheme differ from those of the V6.0 scheme; make the necessary adjustments to the management system and implement them;
3. Conduct internal audits and management reviews in accordance with the FSSC 22000 V7.0 scheme.
(4) Application
1. Customers applying for their first FSSC 22000 V7.0 certification shall submit all required application documents in accordance with the requirements specified in the "Management System Certification/Re-certification Application Form";
2. For customers who have already obtained the legacy FSSC 22000 V6.0 certification certificate from BCK, when implementing a certification upgrade in conjunction with surveillance or re-certification audits, the customer shall submit the following certification upgrade application materials;
A. Submit a written conversion application in accordance with the FSSC 22000 V7.0 scheme certification upgrade process.
B. Submit the updated version of the management system documents.
(5) Certification Certificate
1. The initial review, second-stage audit, surveillance audit, and re-certification audit shall be conducted in accordance with the FSSC 22000 V6.0 scheme; upon issuance of the certification decision, an FSSC 22000 V6.0 Scheme Certification Certificate shall be issued to customers that meet the requirements;
2. Conduct the second stage of the preliminary audit, the surveillance audit, and the re-certification audit in accordance with the FSSC 22000 V7.0 scheme; upon issuance of the certification decision, an FSSC 22000 V7.0 certificate shall be issued or renewed to customers that meet the requirements.
