TE-MM-STN-101E Materials Matter Standard Excerpt: Criteria for Recycled Materials – Chinese Released
On June 22,2026, Textile Exchange (Sustainable Textiles Promotion Association) officially released the Chinese version of an excerpt from the Materials Matter Standards—specifically the Guidelines for Recycled Materials.
This standard aims to provide a unified set of sustainability requirements for material collectors and/or distributors, as well as organizations engaged in primary processing of recycled materials, covering key areas such as organizational management, labor rights and livelihoods, environmental management at processing sites, and supply chain oversight.
Key Implementation Timeline
Effective Date: December 31, 2026
Enforcement Date: December 31, 2027
Effective from the date of mandatory implementation, all audits related to recycled materials shall be conducted in accordance with this new standard.
