BCI CoC Application Process
The Better Cotton Initiative (BCI) is a non-profit international membership organization dedicated to improving cotton cultivation and production practices, promoting sustainable development in the cotton industry, and ensuring that the textile and apparel sector adheres to ethical, environmental, and human rights standards.
Enterprise Certification Process:
1. BCI CoC Registration and Application: Enterprises log in to the BCI official website to complete BCP account registration.
2. BCK Certification Processing: The enterprise formally submits a certification application to the BCK authority, initiating the official processing phase.
3. BCK Audit: BCK will conduct document reviews and on-site inspections of the applicant company, identifying any non-conformities (where applicable).
4. BCK Certificate Issuance: Upon completion of non-conformity rectifications (where applicable) and successful audit, the certification certificate is issued.
5. Annual Self-Assessment for Enterprises: Enterprises must complete the annual self-assessment using the official BCI self-assessment template and submit the results to BCK.
6. BCK Certification Monitoring and Maintenance: Certified enterprises will be subject to supervision and management by BCK. If inspections reveal that an enterprise's operations deviate from standard requirements, the certification body will implement corresponding corrective or disciplinary measures in accordance with regulations.
